Pixel Soup
Dithered live wallpapers your Mac cooks up itself
Pixel Soup makes your Mac's wallpaper for you. Pick a shape, a palette and a dither style, and it draws it live on your GPU, then keeps it gently moving behind your icons or freezes it as a still. Drop in a photo and it dithers that too. Hit one button for a random new wallpaper, or let it serve a fresh one every hour. Free to try for 3 days, no account and no card. Then one payment, no subscription.
Pixel Soup is a Mac company. It launched on Product Hunt on Oct 4, 2026, with 71 upvotes. Adamlead has 1 person on file at Pixel Soup.
